A Ford Certified Pre-Owned vehicle is a used Ford that meets Ford Canada's standards and carries manufacturer-backed coverage. It sits between an ordinary used purchase and a new one: used-vehicle pricing, with warranty protection still attached.

Eligibility
Only Ford vehicles qualify, and only those recent enough and low enough in kilometres to meet Ford's published thresholds. Two levels of certification exist, with different kilometre limits and different lengths of coverage, so a vehicle that does not meet the stricter tier may still certify under the other. Anything failing inspection must be repaired or replaced with authorized parts before a vehicle can be certified.
